The Medan DPRD Commission IV team carried out a surprise inspection (Sidak) at the Yuu At Contempo housing complex on Jalan Brigjen Zein Hamid, Ward VII, Titi Kuning Village, Medan Johor District, Monday (18/9/2023) which was suspected of violating the Building Construction Permit (IMB) and closing public facilities (Fasum).
The Medan DPRD Commission IV team led by Commission IV Chairman Haris Kelana accompanied by Commission IV member Hendra DS and his entourage urged the owner of the Yuu At Contempo housing complex to immediately open the public health facility in front of the housing complex, because it was very disturbing to the people who had been using it.
Moreover, added Haris, the opening of the Fasum has become a court decision at the cassation level and no one can prevent it, because by closing the Fasum, it has disturbed public comfort, because it has closed entry and exit access for vehicles entering the complex.
“Don’t let us come here twice to ask for the same thing, convey this to the housing owner,” said Haris to the representative of the housing owner, Ade Rosda, in line with Hendra DS, representative of Medan Satpol PP, Housing Service for Settlement Areas, Cipta Karya and Spatial Planning, PTSP Service , Fire and Rescue Service, Medan Johor Subdistrict Head and Titi Kuning Village Head.
Hendra DS emphasized that the report on the closure of the Fasum which was protested by residents of Jalan Brigjen Zein Hamid, Ward VII, Medan Johor District, had been submitted to the legislative body so that it could be opened immediately.
“The report, which is accompanied by a complaint which the residents have won at the Medan District Court (PN) and whose appeal has also been rejected, must be addressed by the relevant parties, including the owner of the Yuu At Contempo housing complex,” he said.
Then, he added, the residential building was suspected of violating Perwal No. 16/2021 concerning technical instructions for implementing Medan City Regional Regulation No. 5/2012 concerning levies for building permits, so the Satpol PP team carried out the demolition on June 9 2023.
However, the housing authorities again closed the segment of the wall that was breached in the Yuu Contempo housing complex, so Haris Kelana, urged that the Fasum be opened, involving the Head of the Medan PP Satpol, Rakhmat Adi Syahputra Harahap through the Head of the Regional Legislation Enforcement Division, Aruan, who stated that he was ready to open it.
“We are ready to carry out according to the applicable regulations,” concluded Aruan, who accompanied the visit of Commission IV DPRD Medan (A4).
