Cirebon (ANTARA) – The Kuningan Regency Trade Office, West Java, recorded that the price of chicken eggs in a number of traditional markets in the area has now decreased to around Rp. 1,000-Rp. 1,500.
Arisman said that the reduction in the price of chicken eggs was good news for the community, especially micro and medium businesses operating in the culinary sector.
He said the price reduction occurred in several markets, for example at Kepuh Market, Kuningan Regency, which is the center for selling food for the local community.
“Good news for the community because the price of chicken eggs is starting to fall,” he said.
Meanwhile, for other commodities, he said, the selling price is still quite high. For example, the price of medium rice is still around IDR 13,500 per kg and premium rice IDR 14,000 per kg.
According to him, to stabilize prices and help the community, the Kuningan Regency Disopdagperin Department is currently starting to distribute food aid in the form of 5 kg medium rice which is quite affordable.
“The price of rice on the market has not changed, it is still quite high,” he said.
One of the residents of Cigugur Village, Kuningan Regency, Irma Ningsih, said that the high price of rice on the market had quite an impact on her economic condition. Because, recently he needed to spend IDR 13 thousand to buy one kg of medium rice.
“The hope is that it will come down quickly. Because recently the price has still been high,” he said.
