Crazy Rich Surabaya Budi Said Wins Lawsuit for 1.1 Tons of Gold against PT Antam

MerahWhite.com – PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) suffered another defeat against “crazy rich” Surabaya, Budi Said, at the review (PK) level.

According to the Supreme Court (MA) decision, Antam and the other defendants were obliged to hand over 1.1 tons of gold bullion to Budi Said.

If they do not agree, the defendants are obliged to compensate Budi Said with the equivalent of IDR 1.1 trillion.

“The decision to reject the PK application submitted by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (abbreviated as PT Antam Tbk) was represented by Nicolas D Kanter as Main Director,” said the court decision, Monday (18/9).

This case started when Budi Said bought 7 tons of gold from Antam in 2018. However, during his journey, Budi Said only received 5,935 kg (5.9 tons).

Budi Said then sued a number of parties, including PT Antam.

Budi Said won at the Surabaya District Court (PN). But, then lost on appeal. Budi Said filed an appeal which was later granted.
