HOLY, Lingkarjateng.id – One of the heirs, Mintarso was grateful to receive social assistance of IDR 1 million from the Kudus Regency Government (Pemkab). He said he was greatly helped by the assistance provided.

He said the assistance would be used to meet daily needs. The resident, whose address is in Prarbatan Lor Village, Kaliwungu District, also thanked Kudus Regent HM Hartopo for being empathetic towards his residents.

“Thank you Mr Regent. God willing, the assistance will be additional to meet the needs of the family,” he explained.

Another resident who had received assistance for funeral expenses from the Kudus Regency Government was Sugiyanti, a resident of Jati Wetan Village, Jati District. He was also grateful for the assistance provided by the Kudus Regent.

Sugiyanti said that she lost her husband, Nor Khalim, who worked as a plywood factory worker during his life. He stated that the assistance would be used to meet daily needs.

“Alhamdulillah, this assistance can be sufficient for daily life,” he explained.

Not only claimed to be helped by the assistance. Residents also considered the registration process for the assistance to be easy.

Residents can arrange death benefits through a submission letter from their respective villages. Heirs from underprivileged families can immediately apply for death benefits through the village hall.

Then, residents need to fill in their personal data through the submission form. Furthermore, residents who become heirs attach photocopies of KTP and KK that are still valid belonging to residents who have died and are known by the heads of the local RT and RW.

After that, the heirs also need to attach a photocopy of a death certificate and a Certificate of Inadequacy (SKTM) from the village head or lurah. If the heirs are more than one person, then one of the heirs is appointed to represent and obtain power of attorney from all other heirs through a stamped power of attorney.

The Kudus Regency Government itself has long run a social assistance program for funeral expenses for underprivileged residents. This assistance was distributed through the Office of Social Affairs, Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (P3AP2KB) of Kudus Regency.
