Another Bianconeri offered Ronaldo the chance to return to Serie A.
Cristiano Ronaldo accepted a transfer invitation from Udinese after spending most of the summer trying to leave Manchester United.
The Portuguese superstar was eager to leave Old Trafford in the transfer market yesterday because of his ambition to continue playing in the Champions League and chasing prestigious trophies.
However, no transfer materialized and in the end Ronaldo was forced to stay. Recently, the former Juventus star was lured back to Italy by Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.
How did Udinese and Silvestri seduce Ronaldo?
Via an upload DAZN featuring a photo and a sentence about Ronaldo’s desire to continue playing as long as physically possible, the player and the Serie A club commented.
“My ambition is great. I want to be at the World Cup and the Euros [berikutnya]. I feel very motivated. My journey is not over yet,” he said.
Responding to the post, Silvestri wrote: “Come to Udinese.” The message received a further response from Udinese by posting an eye emoji.
Not in its best form
Ronaldo has struggled to find his best form since failing to leave United, but his goalscoring account for the 2022/23 season was already opened when he scored his first Europa League goal of the season.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is only under contract until 2023 at Old Trafford, so he could be without a club next summer if he ends his working relationship with the Red Devils.
