Celebrating the 32nd Anniversary of West Lampung Regency, the Regency Government Holds a Traditional Sports Competition

LAMBAR, MEDIALAMPUNG.CO.ID – The West Lampung Regency Government is holding various traditional sports competitions, including the Paku Sukha, Atunan and Paku Gudu games, at the local Regent’s Office grounds, Monday (18 September 2023).

A number of competitions were held to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of West Lampung Regency

Apart from being attended by employees, the Acting (Pj) Regent of West Lampung Drs. Nukman, MM and Chair of the Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP-PKK) Dra. Zelda Naturi Nukman and the Head of Regional Apparatus also took part in enlivening the traditional sports competition.

In fact, as if she didn’t care about the hot sun, TP PKK Chair Zelda Naturi Nukman seemed enthusiastic about trying various traditional sports games.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Acting. The Regent of West Lampung, Nukman, also seemed to really enjoy watching various competitions directly from the edge of the field.

Occasionally he shouted while clapping his hands to encourage the competition participants.

Nukman said that various traditional sports games were held as a means of friendship and maintaining body fitness to stay healthy.

“In celebrating the 32nd anniversary of West Lampung, we deliberately held various traditional sports competitions, the purpose of which, apart from being a place for friendship between employees, is also an effort to preserve traditional Indonesian games which are starting to become less popular,” said Nukman.

The number one person in the district nicknamed the Land Above the Clouds said that his party really supports activities to preserve this traditional sport.

With the hope that in the future the legacy of our ancestors can be maintained and maintained as well as possible.

Nukman admitted that he was very proud and happy with the implementation of this activity.

He hopes that in the future, every moment of celebrating historic days, especially for West Lampung, traditional sports games will still be held even though it is now the modern era.
