BANGKOK – Deputy Governor (Wagub) of East Kalimantan H Hadi Mulyadi said he was proud because East Kalimantan’s MSME products were sufficiently competitive in the international market.
“Alhamdulillah, we can see directly that business actors from East Kalimantan are able to compete and promote their products. This is a good momentum for promotion,” said Hadi Mulyadi after visiting the East Kalimantan booth in the area
Thaifex Anuga Asia 2023 at Impact, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thursday (23/5/2023).
Deputy Governor Hadi also admitted that he was very proud because East Kalimantan’s products could be marketed in Thailand. One of them is frozen shrimp.
For this event, the frozen shrimp products being promoted include Black Tiger Head On, Black Pink Cooked and Peeled and Black Tiger Nobashi.
Apart from that, East Kalimantan also displayed gaharu leaf tea products, cookies, coffee combined with gaharu leaves and pasak bumi. This product is processed from
PT Sekatup Sari Indonesia.
“I see that there is an opportunity for us to develop this business. Hopefully this business will continue to be developed, not only in Thailand, but throughout Asia, even Europe, America and Africa,” he hoped.
Hadi asked that East Kalimantan’s business actors continue to learn and be able to emulate what has been produced by business actors in Thailand.
While the Kadisperindagkop and UKM East Kalimantan Muhammad Sa’duddin explained that this time the East Kalimantan Provincial Government represented Indonesia only bringing two products, namely processed shrimp (PT Syam Surya Mandiri) and processed agarwood (PR Sekatup Sari Indonesia). This participation is also to promote the potential of East Kalimantan’s products to buyers.
“Hopefully what we are promoting can be an attraction for buyers or companies that purchase East Kalimantan products,” he explained.
