Jakarta, tvOnenews.com – Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Pol Karyoto revealed that the Menkopolhukam Mahfud MD called him directly about a case of domestic violence (KDRT) in Depok which had gone viral on social media. Mahfud MD asked that the Kapolda Metro Jaya pay attention to this case.
“The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD had called me ‘try to pay attention’, regarding the domestic violence case in Depok,” Inspector General Karyoto told reporters at the Depok Metro Police, Thursday (25/5/2023).
Karyoto said he immediately paid attention to the case, especially since the case had attracted the attention of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.
“This is a concern, whatever, especially if there are complaints from the public. Especially if the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs has asked me, it becomes his concern,” he added.
Karyoto said that this case seemed unbalanced because only Princess Balqis was detained after being named a suspect.
