“We have compiled this disaster management plan document as a step to identify risks, raise awareness of risks, and plan for disaster management,” said the Chief Executive of BPBD for East Kalimantan Province, Yudha Pranoto.

The public review of disaster management plan documents includes submitting the results of studies on areas prone to natural disasters such as floods, landslides, as well as forest and land fires.

According to the BPBD, parts of East Kalimantan that are prone to flooding include Samarinda, Balikpapan, East Kutai, West Kutai and North Penajam Paser.
