TEGAL NEWS – The police are still developing the examination of witnesses regarding the land fire which is suspected to be the cause of a series of accidents that occurred at km 253 of the Pejagan Pemalang Toll Road, 18 September 2022.
So far 18 people have been questioned by a team of investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Brebes Police.
The Head of the Central Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol M Iqbal Alqudusy said the witnesses examined consisted of 14 residents and 4 employees from PT PPTR as the manager of the Pejagan – Pemalang road.

“From the PPTR examined, the operational manager, the technical manager and two patrol officers from the company. Meanwhile, the maintenance manager for PT PPTR has not yet fulfilled the investigator’s summons,” detailed the Head of Humas during an interview, Friday, September 23, 2022.
In addition, he added, investigators will also examine one witness from PT Kencana Biru as the 3rd party managing maintenance on the toll road.
“A summons for investigators was made some time ago, but stated that they could only attend this afternoon,” said the Head of Humas.

“If you are present, it means that a total of 19 are being examined by investigators regarding the weed fires,” he added
He explained that in dealing with the accident at km 253 which claimed one person’s life, the police carried out two investigations conducted by the Satreskrim and Satlantas Polres Brebes.
