Pontianak, Sonora.ID – The West Kalimantan Provincial Government issued a budget for BPJS Health of around Rp. 48 billion for contributions from the West Kalimantan Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (PBI JK) recipients.
This is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 78/PMK.02/2020 concerning the Implementation of Payment of Contribution Contributions for Participants Recipient of Health Insurance Contribution Assistance.
The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Kalimantan Province, Harisson, said that the payment of PBI JK contributions was channeled directly by the government to the Social Security Administering Body (BPJS) for Health, not directly to the recipients.

He revealed that the West Kalimantan Provincial Government had fulfilled its obligation to contribute contributions to the National Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (JKN) from BPJS Kesehatan.
“Where in 2021, the provincial government has allocated a budget of Rp 48.6 billion and this means to help PBI contributions as many as 1,931,026 residents of West Kalimantan Province. Likewise for the 2022 Fiscal Year,” he said.
For West Kalimantan Province, 77.50 percent of the population who have become BPJS health participants, or around 4.2 million of the total 5.4 million inhabitants of West Kalimantan, have participated.
Harisson said the highest coverage for BPJS Health membership was North Kayong Regency, which was 98.73 percent and the lowest was Sambas Regency 67.28 percent.
Furthermore, the BPJS Health membership coverage is second in Ketapang 81.12 percent, Kubu Raya 77.58 percent, Hedgehog 88.04 percent.
Pontianak City was 73.52 percent, Mempawah 74.81 percent, Bengkayang 71.70 percent, Singkawang City 80.70 percent.
