Martapura (ANTARA) – Banjar Regent Saidi Mansyur has inaugurated the Banjar Journalists Forum (FJB) which has been formed by journalists serving in the Banjar Regency area as an organization to gather local journalists.

The inauguration of the FJB board was held at the Barakat Mini Hall, Banjar Regent’s Office, Martapura, Thursday attended by the Banjar Police Chief AKBP Doni Hadi Santoso, Dandim 1006/Banjar Lieutenant Colonel Inf Imam Muchtarom and the Head of the PN.

The Regent of Banjar hopes that, after being inaugurated, FJB can further strengthen cooperation with the Banjar Regency Government and Forkopimda to realize an Advanced, Independent and Religious (Sweet) Banjar Regency.

“We are aware that we cannot carry out the mandate to lead Banjar Regency alone, and must be supported by all parties, both Forkopimda and organizations including the Banjar Journalists Forum,” said Regent Saidi.

It is emphasized that the synergy between the Banjar Regency Government and stakeholders is absolute, especially the press can be a medium for intense communication between the government and the people and vice versa.

“Therefore, we hope that the professional ranks of journalists will become an effective and efficient means for joint efforts to convey messages and development programs to the community,” he said.

Regent Saidi also reminded the importance of increasing the capacity of journalists, who still do not have certification in the Press Council, it is necessary to facilitate FJB which will be supported by the local government.

The Chairperson of FJB Fahmi expressed his gratitude for the support of the Banjar Regent so that the inauguration of the 35 board members went well, smoothly and solemnly.

“We are still open to receiving suggestions and input from anywhere for the improvement of the organization so that it can become a large organization and be able to work together with various parties,” he said.
