Clicknews.com, Keerom – In order to strengthen territorial development in the Papua border region, personnel of the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force-PNG Infantry Battalion 126/Kala Cakti Pos Batom greeted border residents in Batom II Village, Batom District, Bintang Mountains Regency.
This was conveyed by Dansatgas Pamtas Infantry Battalion 126/Kala Cakti, Lt. Col. Inf. Dwi Widodo, SH, M.Han. in a written release in Senggi District, Papua, Friday (23/09/2022).
A number of Papuan people at the border were very enthusiastic about welcoming the personnel of the Battalion Battalion 126/Kala Cakti Pos Batom, this indicates that the presence of the TNI is highly anticipated by the community because while carrying out their duties at the Papuan border, the personnel of the Battalion 126/Kala Cakti Task Force have helped many residents.
“Visiting the inmates is a routine activity that aims to strengthen the unity between the TNI and the community in order to maintain security stability in border areas. In addition, this is part of the participatory role of the Battalion Battalion 126/Kala Cakti Task Force in helping if there are difficulties experienced by the community,” said Dansatgas.
The activity received a positive response from the community, one of which was Hengki Kasipdana (43) as the Chairman of the Youth Leaders of Kampung Batom. “We are very happy for the presence of Mr. TNI who is on duty here because he has listened to our complaints and helped maintain security in this village,” he said.
