Musa said the 17 KPMs only found out their names were registered with the PKH program a week ago. Musa suspected that someone embezzled the PKH 17 social assistance funds from Citorek Village residents.
Musa said that the Prosperous Family Card (KKS) and his savings book were only given to residents a week ago. From the savings book, said Musa, there was once a search for social assistance funds in 2019.
“They receive assistance but they don’t even hold KKS and even savings books. They just found out (as recipients of social assistance) a week ago, and it turns out that it was disbursed in 2019. This means that it has been almost 3 years that the funds have been embezzled and not distributed,” he said.
Musa could not name the person suspected of embezzling the PKH 17 social assistance funds. He encouraged residents to report to him so that law enforcement officials could follow up.
“I am confident and optimistic that law enforcement officers will follow up on it objectively, professionally and accountably. Whatever the excuse, whoever is the perpetrator of the alleged embezzlement of PKH social assistance must be thoroughly investigated. Moreover, this alleged embezzlement has been carried out for years,” he stressed.
Contacted separately, the Coordinator of the Lebak PKH Assistance Akhmad Nouvan Hidayat admitted that he was not aware of the alleged embezzlement of the 2022 PKH social assistance funds.
“Regarding the news, we are still extracting information. We have not received any clarification,” said Nouvan.
