Bengkulu City (ANTARA) – The Bengkulu Province Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) supports Presidential Instruction (Inpres) number 7 of 2022 regarding the use of electric cars as official vehicles for the central government and regional governments.
Deputy Chairman I of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD, Samsu Amanah in Bengkulu City, Thursday said that the electric car was considered a solution when adjusting the price of fuel oil (BBM).
“We agree with the president’s instructions regarding the use of electric cars as official vehicles,” said Samsu.
Because according to him the existence of the car helps reduce the budget but must be supported by infrastructure such as a charging case that must be provided.
According to him, the purchase of electric cars can be submitted using the 2024 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
The same thing was also conveyed by a member of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD, Sumardi, who stated that he supported the use of electric cars as official vehicles.
Some time ago President Joko Widodo issued Presidential Instruction No. 7 of 2022 concerning the use of battery-based electric motorized vehicles as official vehicles for the central government and local governments.
