The National Strategic Food Price Information Center noted that the daily average price of low quality rice (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces has touched the figure of Rp 12.03 thousand per kg, data as of Thursday, September 22, 2022. Overall, the average this week’s average increased compared to the previous week’s average of Rp. 12.01 thousand per kg.

The price of low quality rice II in the modern market of Southeast Sulawesi is the most expensive in Indonesia with a selling price of Rp. 15,100 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of lower quality rice in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this area was Rp. 17,600 per kg.
Meanwhile, in the modern market of West Sumatra, the price of low quality rice II is sold for Rp. 14,500 per kg and is the second most expensive in the country.

Then in third place, the price of low quality rice II in Central Kalimantan is Rp. 13,500 per kg, South Sulawesi is Rp. 13,300 per kg, and South Kalimantan is Rp. 13,000 per kg.
Meanwhile, there are 13 provinces with selling prices of rice of lower quality II below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for lower quality rice are DKI Jakarta, West Sulawesi and West Nusa Tenggara.
